Since 2005, Healthcare Matters – a family-run healthcare provider based in Wrexham – has been dedicated to helping people live as independently and fully as possible.
The company provides equipment and maintenance services to hospitals, local healthcare providers, councils, and the public. However, over time, they realised their ageing hardware was holding them back. Frequent failures, especially during hot weather, caused outages that slowed productivity and consequently restricted access to critical systems and documents.
Taking the Leap to the Cloud
Healthcare Matters already used Microsoft 365 for email. Therefore, moving fully to the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem was the next logical step. The familiarity of Microsoft tools made the transition smoother. Staff could adapt quickly, minimising disruption and keeping productivity high.

Together, we built a modern, secure, and scalable setup. We migrated all file storage to the cloud for centralised access anywhere. We replaced the on-premises domain with cloud-based identity management, introducing single sign-on and stronger authentication. And we also simplified device and user management to strengthen security and enable remote configuration.
Immediate Impact on Daily Operations
The benefits were immediate. No more downtime from failing hardware. Staff could now access files securely anywhere and anytime. Multiple layers of protection to also guard against evolving cyber threats.
