Ben Gilbert Takes on the Chester Half Marathon!

This past weekend, our very own Ben Gilbert, Technical Director at Layer 4, took part in the 2025 Essar Chester Half Marathon. Held on Sunday 18 May, the event brought together over 5,700 runners who filled the historic streets of Chester under warm, sunny skies.

Ben’s determination to push himself—whether in the world of IT or out on the racecourse—is something we all admire at Layer 4. He crossed the finish line a full 20 minutes faster than his time last year, It’s that same mindset he brings to work every day, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’ve all been blessed with the stories—and the blisters—that came out of this experience. Well done Ben!
